img_7969-copy-green-plate-smaller-fileOur new exhibit “Dynamic Ceramics: Selections from The James Monroe Museum Collection” opens on Friday, October 6 at 4:00 PM. Featuring a spectrum of pottery artifacts from James Monroe and his family, the exhibit is an in-depth examination of ceramic wares including American stoneware, earthenware, and porcelain.
Join us for a clay-throwing demonstration and discussion by curator Jarod Kearney from 4:00-6:00 PM on October 6.

 

“James Monroe Museum in 3D”

An online, interactive exhibit created by University of Mary Washington students in Professor Jeffrey McClurken’s Spring 2014 “Adventures in Digital History” course. The exhibit displays 3D scans of objects from JMM’s collection. Explore the exhibit here.
