The American Flag is celebrating its 200th birthday this year, and the Smithsonian National Museum of American History is organizing a nation-wide group sing of the “The Star-Spangled Banner” in its honor on Flag Day, 14 June. The James Monroe Museum is participating, but we’re putting on our spin on the event – we’ll be performing the anthem on kazoos!
Join us at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, in front of the museum (908 Charles Street) to be a part of this event and to add your voice to the largest group sing of the national anthem in history. We are providing the kazoos! An ice-cream social will follow!
